Our Physical and Occupational Therapy services focus on restoring functional movement and improving your daily life. We assist during recovery from surgery, cancer treatment or injury by helping improve joint range of motion, strength and flexibility, decreasing back, neck or other pain and restoring better balance, mobility and gait.
Physical and Occupational Therapy at CARES work with the following:
The McKenzie Method of Mechanical Diagnosis and Treatment of the Spine is a philosophy of active patient involvement and education for neck, back, and extremity disorders causing pain.
Our McKenzie Certified Therapist has success by taking a thorough history, performing an extensive evaluation and structural assessment to identify the mechanical cause of pain.
Testing of different movements is used to identify patterns of pain response that are reproducible, objective, reliable, and accurately reflect the characteristics of the underlying pain generator.
A specific and individual program is then prescribed to improve spinal range of motion and reduce symptoms.
Specific exercises are modified based on each patient’s response.
Most patients can learn how to successfully treat themselves and minimize the number of visits to physical therapy, saving time, effort, and expense.
How can we help you get back into life?
I loved my time at Cares! From the first time I stepped up to the front desk to register, to everyone that I met in the therapy sessions I felt like they cared ...and wanted to help me get better. They listened and set up a treatment plan that was completely tailored to my needs and worked with my insurance. I never felt rushed during appointments and the therapists and aids were so kind and professional. I had complete confidence in them that they were studying my case and finding the right treatment plan for my back. I highly recommend Cares to anyone in need of therapy.
